Once again our weather is doing an about-face. We ran temperatures up to nearly 70° early on and now the slide has begun again. The first of 2 cold fronts is passing at 4 PM. A large spread in temperatures have developed ranging from 70° in Columbus to 58° in Lafayette.
Cooler air settles in throughout the evening along with an increase in clouds. We will remain rain free tonight.
NOVEMBER CHILL RETURNS
Cold front number two passes before sunrise Saturday (around 4 AM) and delivers another shot of November level air. For tomorrow afternoon, plan on more clouds and possibly a few showers roaming the area with temperatures steady in the middle 50s – the normal for November 10th.
COLDEST OF THE SEASON
Frost on the pumpkin! Saturday evening skies will clear, winds will ease and the chill settles in. Area temperatures will tumble into the 30s by early Sunday morning, coolest officially in the city since last May. Widespread frost is likely including in the city for the first time this season. Outlying areas could reach the freezing mark. Plan accordingly! Frost and freeze advisories will be coming soon.
