INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --Good Tuesday afternoon! Temperatures today got up to the upper 80s before the rain moved in. A quick 0.42 inches of rain fell in Indy as the storm moved overhead.  Hi-resolution models have additional storms coming in from the west this evening. Timing would be close to 8 p.m. in Indianapolis.

T-storms may produce quick heavy rains of up to 0.50 inches as well as gusty winds and lightning. Expect a mostly cloudy sky overnight with a slight chance of t-storms. Wednesday will bring a risk of strong to severe t-storms. Damaging winds would be the main threat from severe weather. The best chance of storms on Wednesday will be in the mid to late afternoon hours.

The high heat and humidity will stick around through at least Thursday with dew points in the 70s and temperatures in the 80s and low 90s. We'll dry out briefly before more rain chances return for the latter half of the weekend. --Danielle Dozier
