Isolated showers and thunderstorms continue through the evening hours of Saturday in eastern Indiana. But for those of you west of Indianapolis, the rest of the evening will be dry. Any rain on the radar will move from north to south. Skies remain partly cloudy this evening. Overnight, clouds continue to decrease and we’ll see mostly clear conditions, light north winds and a low of 61°F in Indianapolis. The outlying areas will dip a little bit more into the upper 50s.
Sunday will actually look and feel like summer here in central Indiana. We’ll see mostly sunny skies, it will be a bit humid and temperatures will climb into the low 80s again. This is all thanks to a weak ridge of high pressure. It won’t be a bad day to get out to the pool or play with the sprinkler in the front yard. The morning and early afternoon hours will be completely dry. I’m just a little concerned that we might see an isolated shower pop up late Sunday afternoon in northern Indiana. But these showers and storms could easily miss our area.
Monday will be another warm and summer-like day. Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid 80s! The weak ridge of high pressure will be sliding a bit more to the east that day which means it won’t have as much control on our weather. As we get into late Monday afternoon and evening, some isolated showers and storms cannot be ruled out, especially in northwestern Indiana. This area is also closer to an approaching cold front. The same can be said regarding Tuesday’s forecast expect for that the fact that we should see a few more clouds.
