Still tracking what looks to be a sloppy start to your Friday morning with rain changing over to snow just ahead of the morning rush.  Untreated roads will likely mean slick spots on some area roads as temperatures fall to around 30 degrees.  Bridges and elevated roadways will be most at risk for icing.

For today expect overcast skies through the day with a high in the upper 40s.  Some places south of Indianapolis like Bloomington and Greenwood will have a chance to hit 50 degrees today!  I think Indianapolis will be just shy of hitting the half century mark.  High temperatures will be hit around 5pm tonight.

Rain could begin tonight as soon as 6pm, but it looks like most rain will hold off until close to midnight for Indianapolis.  Rain will arrive in Lafayette around 8pm.  No severe storms are expected as this system rolls through tonight but that doesn’t mean there will be no hazardous weather.  Quickly falling temperatures behind the weak front will mean any moisture on roads will likely freeze over during the overnight hours.  Light snow showers with no accumulation will then be expected for a big portion of your Friday.

We warm up again over the weekend with Saturday highs near 40 degrees and a Sunday high near 50 once again.  This milder weather will stick around through next Tuesday with temperatures returning to the 30s for Wednesday and Thursday.
