Good morning everyone. Yesterday we had over 30 tornado reports in the region and today we are looking at more severe storms possible.  This will be another afternoon that you need to be weather aware as most of the state is under a marginal risk for severe storms this afternoon.

DAY1 CLOSE UP

Damaging winds and flooding are the main threats today but all manner of severe weather is possible, including a few tornadoes.

SEVERE POTENTIAL

From now through early afternoon, we anticipate a fairly clear radar, as the greatest potential will arise as the heat builds across the state!  Once temperatures reach their convective temperatures between 84° and 88° storms should begin to develop and push east, if not slightly southeast.  These could last into the early evening!  Be sure to download our FREE "Weather Authority" App and customize it to your area!

The heat and humidity stick around through the weekend with more chances for afternoon storms. Quieter weather returns the middle of next week with slightly cooler conditions.
