Tracking scattered showers at this hour, as most remains well north of Indianapolis and continues to scoot east. It appears a lot of dry time should be expected for central and southern Indiana through the rush hour and beyond. In fact, our greatest rain chances won't arrive until this afternoon and even then they will be scattered about. Today should not be a washout! And thankfully not as hot as yesterday (Wednesday).

A second wave of rain will begin to move in tomorrow (Friday). This wave appears to be better organized and should hold a better track in producing greater rain chances and storms for the city of Indianapolis! If you are in need of rain, tomorrow is your day. Rain fall potential remains between to 1 to 2 inches by late Saturday morning, most falling Friday afternoon and evening.

A stronger cold front will swing through Saturday morning between 7am and noon! This front should end our rain chances by Saturday afternoon for the state, as cooler, less humid air returns by the evening and offers an incredible day for Sunday, the Colts opener!
