Another hot day ahead with limited rain and storm chances through the afternoon. Although some spots could see a heavy downpour, the heat will be the bigger story for this Friday! Just like yesterday, lower 90 degree heat, coupled with higher humidity levels will drive our heat index "feels like" to the lower 100s. This heat is tough on the body and can be quite dangerous if not monitored. WATER, WATER, WATER!
As you can see from the images above...not all get in the rain today and plenty of dry time is expected for any plans this evening and tonight, such as the Indiana State Fair! Heavier, steadier periods of rain are expected to develop by Saturday, some arriving as early as the morning hours. Rain and storms will be with us off and on through the weekend and beyond. Flooding potential is certainly there and will need to be monitored for the southern 1/2 of the state, including the Indianapolis area.
