Strong wind, heavy rain, storms and icy mix possible in northern Indiana

Heavier, steadier rain building back in this morning and should last through most of the day. In the short term, we continue to monitor our northern counties for an icy mix but none being reported at this time. The freezing rain advisory remains in effect until 1 p.m. for the counties included below:

As we push into the afternoon, the threat for ice will end as temperatures steadily climb into the 40s. Heavy rain, storms and wind are the greatest concern through this evening, along with local flooding problems that continue at this hour. Here is a look at rainfall potential today through early tomorrow morning:

Winds will gust to 40+ mph today and remain gusty at times tomorrow, as drier conditions return! Another shot of colder air will return to wrap up 2015, as we ring in the New Year.
